The International Owl Center opened its doors in 2015 as the only all-owl education center in the United States. It is an outgrowth of the success of the International Festival of Owls, held annually the first weekend in March in Houston, Minnesota. Because the Center is located in a small town, the community has gotten on the owl bandwagon. You can find 11 public owl sculptures, eight double-sided street banners featuring owl artwork from children around the world, the coffee shop is completely decked out with owls, and even the bar and hotel feature owl decorations. The Owl Center's mission is to make the world a better place for owls through education and research.
